Epinephrine Standing Order

About the Program
In partnership with the CA Department of Education and to support local medical emergency planning associated with California Education Code (EC) Section 49414, as amended by Senate Bill 1266, CDPH has issued a statewide standing order to help reduce morbidity and mortality associated with anaphylaxis by facilitating the distribution and administration of epinephrine in California schools.
This standing order authorizes a California school district, county office of education or charter school to obtain epinephrine auto injectors for elementary schools, junior high schools middle schools, and high schools. Renewal Instructions: Users planning to renew their Epinephrine Standing Order for 2025 will need to complete two steps (if you have NOT previously applied for this program, please move on to the New User instructions).

Albuterol Standing Order

About the Program
In partnership with the CA Department of Education and the CA Department of Health Care Access and Information and to support local medical emergency planning associated with California Education Code (EC) Section 49414.7, CDPH has issued a statewide standing order for albuterol to provide emergency medical aid to persons suffering, or reasonably believed to be suffering, from respiratory distress in California schools.
This standing order authorizes a California school, school district, county office of education or charter school to obtain albuterol and if necessary, single-use disposable holding chambers, for elementary schools, junior high schools, middle schools, and high schools. Standing-order recipients are required to report on instances in which stock albuterol is administered to a person suffering, or reasonably believed to be suffering, from respiratory distress. For reporting, please fill out the Administration of Stock Albuterol Reporting form.
