About the Program
In Partnership with the CA Department of Education and to support local medical emergency planning associated with California Education Code (EC) Section 49414, as amended by Senate Bill 1266, CDPH has issued a statewide standing order to help reduce morbidity and mortality associated with anaphylaxis by facilitating the distribution and administration of epinephrine in California schools.
This standing order authorizes a California school district, county office of education or charter school to obtain epinephrine auto injectors for elementary schools, junior high schools middle schools, and high schools.
Additionally, training standards for the administration of epinephrine auto-injectors can be found on the CDE Administration of Epinephrine Auto-Injectors website.
